Horse & Carriage Surprise at a Beautiful Binksberry Hollow Wedding in Wilson NY
It was a hot August day
Some wedding days just have that extra bit of magic, and this one at Binksberry Hollow was full of it from beginning to end. It was a hot August day, the kind where everything feels slow and golden, and everyone was ready to celebrate these two.
The morning I walked into everyone singing in the kitchen as the make up and hair team finished working on the girls. A beautiful spread of food was laid out, everyone happy and excited for the day to come. Hanging in the hallway were custom framed shadow box for each of the siblings and the bride. It was really special and personalized with little details about each one of them from growing up.
The bride had a gift of her own for her mom- a hand drawn image of them together in their wedding gowns!
A short limo ride away the father of the bride paced outside the church. There’s something special about church weddings — the quiet moments, the anticipation in the air.
Little did Preston know about the surprise waiting for him outside the church doors! Following the ceremony they burst out of the church’s double doors to a horse and carriage awaiting them & a cold beer! They took a long carriage ride to the local fire hall before rejoining the wedding party, all on our way to Binksberry Hollow.
Chef Binks was awaiting us with lunch prepared and their air conditioned bridal suite for everyone to freshen up before the family & wedding party photos!
Handmade custom details Amber put so much thought and time into her planning, with a large selfie wall covered in photos of Amber & Preston! Not only was it one of a kind, it was the star of the cocktail hour as they eagerly awaited the bride and groom. Cheers and applause as they joined in the party.
From there it was an absolute party, from the wedding party entrances to the double surprise roses for her mom. To her mom’s surprise of golden paper hearts for everyone to hold up to celebrate their love for Amber & Preston. It was truly the coming together of 2 families into one.
Everyone partied the night away, with dance off battles, crowd surfing by Amber’s little brother, and Amber coming out in a second dress to dance in! Right up to the last song it was the largest party of the year! Ending with sparkler send off. An absolute whirlwind of a day! With memories to last a lifetime.
