One of my oldest friends got married this summer at a beautiful barn wedding! It was Robert and I’s first time working at the Hayloft, and we couldn’t believe how beautiful their gardens were. Of course it made sense because the owners used to own a landscaping business. But you could tell they had completely transformed the property for one purpose – weddings! Everything was done right on the grounds, with a ceremony behind the main house and the bride and groom getting ready across the hall from each other. The bride and the grooms father built the arch they got married under the week of the wedding! Which turned out beautifully, it’s something they will have for years to come and always mean something to them. It was really special. After the ceremony the guests headed for the barn for cocktails and lemonade, the barn provided lots of different places guests could hang out or mingle. After intro’s and first dances everyone went to eat dinner downstairs. Which was air conditioned! A perk for being an outdoor barn wedding for sure. The barn was beautifully decorated and guests and friends of the family brought their own desserts to share next to the cake and cupcakes. They had a photobooth and DJ provided from CJ Sound, which kicked off the party promptly after dinner. It was really nice the guests could dance or sit outside and enjoy the music and nature around them. We borrowed the bride and groom at sunset and did some photos in the garden. The light was incredible and it felt like it could have been a styled shoot. It was the icing on the cake for a perfect wedding!! Also a few weeks later at a backyard wedding we saw The Hayloft rents out bathrooms! Real bathrooms – they just parked them next to the tent. The guests were pleasantly surprised.
