Buffalo Wedding Photographers Robert & Tiffany
We were so excited from the moment we book Lizzy’s wedding, not only was it a backyard wedding but it was planned on her family farm. There is something special about family backyard wedding that has the emotion and togetherness that other weddings just don’t get. Little things like the groom honking the horn as he leaves for church, while the bride is getting dressed that gets everyone giddy! Homemade centerpieces and favors decorate the yard. Grandma watching over the catering and helping set the tables. As we arrive at the ceremony dad anxiously awaits his daughter by the church doors. In the same church their family was still members of. There was a grand exit as a hayride decorated by family and friends awaited to take the bride and groom back to the reception!
At the reception the barn doors were open and guests were welcome to wander in and say Hi to the horses, chickens, & goats! While a very special little pony walked around carrying drinks for thirsty guests. We loved watching the brides family ride the horses around the property along with adorable chickens bantering about. A whole pig was being roasted on the side of the reception barn, and the dogs eagerly awaited scraps just all added to the family 4th of july meets wedding. A tractor was loaded with ice and beer and everyone was in good cheer as family photos were taken. A band took the stage and announced the bride and grooms entrance under the tent, with cake cutting and dances taking place first. The party was one of the liveliest we’ve ever seen, with the dance floor over flowering with friends and older members sitting around the fire reminiscing. Shots all around and someone was even dunked into the tractor full of ice water.
